Before the project launch, our company dispatched a professional technical team to the Cambodian enterprise’s canteen for an on-site survey. Based on factors such as the canteen’s entrance/exit dimensions, pedestrian flow direction, and existing facility layout, a detailed turnstile installation plan was developed. Two swing gates were installed at each of the canteen’s 2 main entrances, creating 4 passageways to handle peak-hour pedestrian flow.
Considering the uniqueness of cross-border transportation, our company collaborated with a professional logistics provider in advance to develop a comprehensive equipment transportation plan, ensuring no damage during transit. After the equipment arrived on-site, the technical team completed the installation and commissioning of all turnstiles within 3 days in accordance with the plan. To minimize disruption to the canteen’s normal operations, construction was carried out during non-dining hours.
After equipment installation and commissioning, our technical team provided training to the canteen management staff and employees, covering topics such as daily operation of the turnstiles, access permission settings, data report viewing, and basic troubleshooting. This ensured that relevant personnel could operate the system proficiently. Meanwhile, technicians worked with the enterprise’s IT department to integrate the turnstile system with the employee management system and canteen meal management system, ensuring real-time data synchronization.
Through multi-identity recognition and access control, unauthorized entry to the canteen was effectively prevented. The identities of diners are now clear, order has significantly improved, and the enterprise’s internal security has been further enhanced.
During peak hours, the average waiting time for employees to enter the canteen was reduced from 5–8 minutes to 1–2 minutes, greatly improving the dining experience. A satisfaction survey showed that employee satisfaction with dining efficiency rose from 62% (before implementation) to 95%.
Leveraging accurate dining data from the turnstile system, the canteen optimized ingredient procurement. Food waste dropped from 15% to less than 5%, reducing monthly ingredient procurement costs by approximately USD 12,000. Additionally, labor costs were cut: 4 staff members were previously required for registration and guidance, but now only 2 are needed.
Data reports generated by the system provided clear insights into employee dining habits—for example, some employees prefer light meals, and dining numbers are higher on Wednesdays and Fridays. The canteen adjusted its menu and meal quantities accordingly, increasing employee satisfaction with meals from 70% to 92% and significantly boosting employee well-being.
